ASSISI CONVENT, ANCHERY

Mariapuam is a beautiful and serene place which is blessed by the presence of MMB Congregation also. At that time, there was no convent. So, it was a long awaited dream of the people of that area to have a convent over there. By the divine providence, we CSM started our 2nd house there. Aiming at evangelization through printing technology, faith formation, house visiting, parish work, Assisi Convent was blessed and consecrated by the then Thrissur Bishop Mar George Alappatt on 3rd October 1950. Here, we run a printing press, Assisi Press, through which we spread the gospel and its values to the society. Later, in the year 2015, CSM stepped into a new venture in healing ministry attached to this house. St. Martha Medical Centre (MMC) is a main apostolate of this house right now.

St. Martha Medical Centre (MMC): The Lourde Natha Province started St. Martha Medical Centre (MMC) Anchery, Thrissur on 17th of December, 2014. At present MMC has a hospital set-up comprising of in-patient department with 10 beds, casualty, out-patient department, operation theatre and related medical facilities like X-ray, ECG, Laboratory and Pharmacy etc.

MMC focuses mainly on the treatment and care of diabetic patients. MMC provides services of the doctors in various departments such as Diabetes, Cardiology, Paediatrics, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, ENT and Dentistry etc. MMC conducts regularly social out-reach programmes like medical camps in different parishes also.
